Textbook Reservation

Textbook Reservation is a service program that the Bookstore offers to all its students. We will reference your booklist, pull your textbooks, charge them to your student account and have the books ready for you to pick up the Wednesday prior to the first day of classes. All you have to do is come and pick up the textbooks at your convenience.

Process for picking up textbooks

  • Check in at the check-in station (under the big Missouri State Tent). You will get a number.
  • Go to the textbook reservation pick up area.
  • We will call out your number as soon as your bag is pulled from the waiting area.
  • We will go through your bag of books with you, making sure you have all the correct books for your classes.
  • If we need to make any exchanges, we will do so at the reservation pick up area.

Having textbooks shipped

  • Please indicate on your reservation that you would like your reservation shipped, a form will appear and you will simply type an address.  (No PO Boxes, Please)
  • Textbooks will be shipped shortly after being processed in our system in the order they were received. 

I'm an RA, UA, SOAR leader, GA, or Faculty/Staff member

  • Please indicate on your reservation your position and we will verify this before processing your order.
  • Discounts will be applied to the order at time of processing.

What are the benefits of reserving textbooks?

  • It is absolutely free.
  • Textbooks will be ready for you to pick up the Wednesday prior to the first day of classes every semester.
  • Textbooks can be shipped directly to your address (shipping charges will be added to your student account). Indicate on your reservation to request shipping.
  • A flexible reservation system prevents duplicate orders and allows for last minute changes when you pick up your order.
  • A generous return policy allows you to return or exchange any textbook in its original condition within the first two weeks of classes for the Fall and Spring semester.  For Summer semester, textbook refunds and exchanges are only for the first three days of classes. For intersession classes, textbook refunds and exchanges are only for the first day of classes.
