How does Textbook Reservation (TextRes) work?Textbook Reservation is a service program that the Missouri State University Bookstore offers to all its students. Simply click on one of the bag links above, fill out the online form, and that is it! We take care of the rest for you. We will pull your booklist, pull your textbooks, charge them to your student account, and have the books ready for you to pick up the Wednesday prior to the first day of classes. All you have to do is come and pick up the textbooks at your convenience.
When you come into the Bookstore to pick up your textbooks you will do the following:
- Check in at our Check in station (under the big Missouri State Tent). You will get a number.
- Go to the Textbook Reservation pick up area.
- We will call out your number as soon as your bag is pulled from the waiting area.
- We will go through your bag of books with you, making sure you have all the correct books for your classes.
- If we need to make any exchanges, we will do so at the Reservation pick up area.
You are all done! All you have to do now is pass those classes, and read those textbooks!
Is there a fee for the Textbook Reservation service?There is not a service fee, it is absolutely FREE!
When will my textbooks be ready for me to pick up?Textbooks will be ready for you to pick up the Wednesday prior to the first day of classes every semester. If you need them sooner, please e-mail RichardMonroe@MissouriState.edu and let us know.
Can my textbooks be shipped to my address?Yes, please e-mail RichardMonroe@MissouriState.edu after you have placed your reservation, and we can get your textbooks mailed out to your specified address as soon as your order has been pulled. The shipping fee will be added to your student account, and is based on the weight of your order.
I think I may have placed two Textbook Reservation orders by mistake. What should I do?Do not worry about creating a duplicate order. Our system will not allow us to enter two reservations for the same student.
I changed my classes since I filled out the form, should I submit another reservation?Don't worry about submitting a reservation again. We print the booklists a month in advance of the first day of classes. Within that time, if you have changed classes, we will be sure to get your correct books when you come to pick up your textbooks.
Can you send me a list of all my books and prices?You can simply get a list of your textbooks by going to my.missouristate.edu, log in and go to the Campus Resources tab, find the Bookstore portal, and click on Booklist.
Do I have to submit a reservation for every semester?Yes, simply fill out the form each semester, and we will pull your textbooks for you. As of right now, we do not have a one time enroll program, but it is something we are looking into.
